In Casablanca, Humphry Bogart's character worked with the police to make the transition with Ingrid Bergman's character a smooth one. He convinced the police to leave her husband alone until he explained to her what was going to happen. Both characters always had the interest of the women and made sure they did what they thought would be best for them.

Film Noir
I chose to watch "Casablanca" for my film noir. Casablanca and Chinatown were fairly similar because they both involved the police and the main male characters were trying to work with the police to make the situation better. For instance, in Chinatown Jack Nicholson's character could basically roam free because of who his character was. He used to work with some of the police in the movie.
